Until my anatomy scan! It was full 5 week wait and I can't believe it's finally right around the corner I look forward to seeing baby again, (hopefully) finding out that everything is going well, and maybe finding out the gender.
You ladies may remember that we were on the fence about finding out the sex of the baby... we've decided to try to figure out, but if for some reason the tech can't tell (but gets all of the measurements they need so another scan isn't needed), we're not going to bother getting a follow-up scan and will just be content with our surprise. Our friends & family care a lot more about knowing than we do, which is why we're trying at all, but I don't feel like having to spend $100+ for an elective ultrasound if we don't find out at the anatomy scan just to appease other people. I imagine they'll have no trouble this late in the game (and if they do that they'll have trouble with other things as well) but you never know.
Anyway, who else has an anatomy scan this week?! I can't be the only one, can I?
Good luck Hope it goes well. I'd tell the tech at the beginning of the appointment that you would like to know the gender if possible. I waited until almost the end of the appointment to ask and by that time he had moved into a crossed legs position. She took the time to get him to move though. But it would make it easier if she knew right away we wanted to know.
Mine is Wednesday, but we're not finding out. At this point, I'm hoping just to see that all is healthy and verify that there really is only 1 in there!!
I will warn you that with #4, we had decided we were going to find out. She refused to cooperate and slept the whole time. We had to go back a little over a week later because they couldn't get a clear spine shot because of her position, and her legs were still firmly crossed. Sometimes, even in multiple scans, they don't want to show the goods.
Good luck Tuesday!!!
