So I went this morning for my follow up anatomy scan. I honestly wasn't sure what they missed last time, but I knew it was something. Turns out it was a part of the brain, a part of the heart, kidney and ... something else, that I forget already. Good news: The technician got everything he needed today, and he said that everything looks absolutely perfect. He explained everything in great detail to me and I left so confident. Best. Tech. Ever. We had a little "surprise". He was looking through the legs and I see something. I go "uhh ... what's that?" He explained that it was the umbilical cord, and of course explained all of what he saw in great detail. I said "okay, phew. I thought that was something else sticking up there" and laughed. He laughed too and said "nope, I'm staying far away from that area unless you want me to peek." I told him I did. I knew it was a girl, but the last tech said it was a girl not because three lines were visible, but because no penis was. So I wanted to just have another peek. I said "Actually if you have the time, I would love for you to look and tell me that it's a girl just to confirm what the other tech said." Yet again baby's legs were wide open. As soon as he zoomed in, the three lines were clear as day. I said "oh ****, never mind, that's ALL girl!" He laughed, and definitely agreed. So, all around good news! I wasn't concerned at all that it would be a boy, but it's still nice that it's 100% a girl now. That was so clear! So looks like we have a healthy baby girl who is measuring exactly where she should. I could not be happier!!!

Oh, and her name is finalized. Chloe Hazel Rose.

Yey for a healthy baby girl! I love the name!!! I didn't have time to post on your other thread but I really think it sounds lovely and considering they are all short names the two middle name really works.

Woohoo, congratulations on a great scan!

I don't think I will get to see baby again unless I do an elective scan at some point since they got all their measurements the first time, but there was no doubt in my mind that I was looking at boy parts, so I'm not worried about having a surprise girl. I can understand why the opposite might be a bit more concerning, though. Banking on the 'absence of a penis' would probably have made me anxious too. I'm glad they were able to confirm it for you!
