I started having regular more painful contractions March 28th. The on-call doctor decided to remove my cerclage. He was nervous of tearing and bleeding. It was removed without pain meds this time. Very painful. I went immediately to 2cm. Already was 80% effaced. Back in L&D Monday for more cramping but, no changes. Wednesday at my doctors appt. I was 3cm and 80% effaced. I guess days of contractions were doing something.

Saturday April 5th I had been feeling off all day. I had painful contractions for hours the night before that would just stop. Stayed in bed all day and decided to go get checked that night. I was still 3cm but, contractions were every 5-7mins so they kept me for a little bit. An hour later I was 4cm and contractions were every 2-3mins. That got me admitted. Since I was only 35.5 weeks they didn't want to do anything to help labor. Along with the doctor we decided to intentionally try and not let labor progress. I had one more check during the night I was 6-7cm. Contractions stopped @3AM. As long as I didn't spike a fever and baby was fine they let me be. It was decided pitocin would be started at 6:00 and my water would be broken at 7:00. Doctor had an emergency c-sections so she ended up breaking my water @12:15am. (Monday April 7th...which means I had made it to 36 weeks!).
About 2 hours later I started feeling extreme pressure. With every contractions I couldn't help but, push a little. DH was sleeping. My mom could tell something was up and once I told her we called the nurse. The doctor came and checked me and said I was ready to deliver. I pushed through probably 3 contractions and she was out.
Elaina Marie born @2:37am @7lbs 1ozs 19inches.
She was checked pretty quickly (being only 36 weeks). Scored at 9 out of 9. We did a lot of skin to skin. I ended up with a 1st degree tear.
All in all we accomplished what we had hoped for. Delaying labor to 36 weeks. No NICU time. (Hospital policy at 35.6 weeks she would have gone for 24hrs). And considering I pushed for 3 & 1 hours previously. A few minutes of pushing is a dream!

Awesome! So happy you made it to 36 weeks! Did DH wake up in time? LoL. Also, did you do the pitocin without an epidural?

Yes, DH woke up in time : ). And I had an epidural. No way I could have gone that long without it.
