LOL I did it by a low-carb diet (moderation in carbs, not cutting them out completely like some of the wacky low-carb diets out there), exercise and I'm on a prescription weight loss drug. Since I have PCOS, it was really hard for me to lose weight with just the diet and exercise, so my endocrinologist prescribed it for me and bam I started losing weight really quickly. But my advice is don't consider a diet a diet, consider it a lifestyle change. That's how I really got motivated to keep on it and keep up the exercise. I also still occasionally have sweets or fast food, but it's all about moderation and eating only when you're hungry (I was the comfort eater too along with my PCOS). Oh yeah, cut out soda! Empty carbs and calories that go straight to fat cells. I drink a lot of water (16 oz a day) instead and that really helped too. But yeah, that's how I did it.
Awesome! I know myself...if I DIET it's bound to fail. I need to change my lifestyle and eating habits for good, not for now to lose weight. DH and I tried to go vegetarian for a bit but got bored with our food choices and didn't know what to make. We now are only eating chicken and lean meats, and are cutting down on our portions big time. I've fallen off the wagon, gotten lazy and been bad lately. We are moving in about two weeks, so hopefully after that we can start fresh not just with the move but with everything.
