My first tat was done in an hour and a half. My 2nd one took 4 1/2 hours. I sat through both of them the whole time. I'm sure that the tat I get to represent my kids is probably gonna take more than 1 session. Of course I could be wrong.
I am still working on my first tattoo. The first session was 2 1/2 hours and was bloodlining and a little bit of shading. Session two (a few days ago) was 4 hours and was finishing shading with color in the main part of the tattoo and starting my girl's hair. Next 4 hour session the artist is planning on finishing her dress, features and hair. Then I have another 4 hour session, probably two 4 hour sessions after that to finish the background.
