Does it matter when in your menstrual cycle you get a tattoo? I did the internet research and it seems that opinions are an even split. Some say it is more painful the week before, of and after your period and some say there is no difference. One person I talked to said she had a lot more bruising and swelling when getting work done. Do you have experience with both? What do you think?
I cannot compare as I have been on both times. I can say....it hurts. Bad. My husband made a reference to my cramps this last weekend and the artist immediately stopped and said I was crazy and he couldn't believe I was sitting for 4 hours. He practically promised that the next session will be less painful when scheduled in the one week a month that is "good." I can see how the week before and of would be bad. I would be more sensitive to pain and just down right irritable dealing with it. I thought the week after would have been fine though.
