I have a belly tattoo and had twins last January. The tattoo is to the lower left of my belly and is a heart with handcuffs and has DH's name on a banner across it. (Yep, we went there. He has one, too, with my name - we got them on our honeymoon.)
I was pretty worried about it when I first got pregnant. I was searching message boards and google images trying to find before and after pictures. It did stretch out like crazy when I was pregnant (and with twins - I got BIG!). But after I delivered it shrunk down considerably and within a few months it looked almost exactly like it did. The only difference is that the lines are a little blown out, kwim? Not bad at all - DH's name is clearly visible. It still looks like a well-done tattoo...the edges just don't look perfectly neat.
Don't know what will happen after the next baby (if there is a next baby, that is).
