So my invites went in the mail yesterday for the baby shower so people started getting them today. Exciting thing is something was already purchased from the registry!

What has been bought so far:

Someone who must have just gotten their invite today got us our crib bedding.

My MIL bought a stroller system

OMG love that they bought big items. My invites haven't went out yet nor did I put anything "big" on there since this is my 3rd.

I'm excited about the big items too I only put the crib on there as a reminder to myself and so I could get the 10% back when I bought it. At least 2 items were from grandparent and great grandparent but I am still super excited that they are being so generous.Today my grandpa had me design the cradle that he is building. It's going to be a cherry solid wood glider cradle.

So my lovely crib is still sitting disassembled because two pieces came damaged and they haven't sent me new parts. So annoyed with the manufacturer and we may end up just returning it Most recent check, all but 2 items over $40 have been purchased A baby gate and baby food maker are the only things that haven't and neither are a big deal to have. I'm excited for my baby shower I have also gotten 3 big boxes of diapers and a big box of wipes from people that can't make it to the shower.

Lucky!! I'm glad your registry is almost taken care of! I have been stalking mine and nothing has been purchased.. but people just started getting their invites and the shower is still a couple weeks away so I'm hoping it will change.

My shower is Saturday and items are just starting to disappear. There are a lot of little things from the registry I will still need it seems, but there is a quarterly consignment sale coming up in May that is supposed to be huge that I'm going to check out for that.

You'll find that some people buy things off your registry and either a) forget to tell the cashier that it's off of a registry (I find cashiers can get a little pissy if you don't know the registry number at check-out! So some people just don't bother with the hassle), or b) buy things off of the registries from other stores - which is how I ended up with two crib mattresses
