I snagged this from googling crock pot recipes, but then I tweaked it too.
1 lb ground beef (I'm using ground venison)
6 potatoes peeled & cubed (I only had two)
4 carrots, chopped about 1/2 inch
5 celery stalks (the smaller/inner ones from a bunch)
1 can diced tomatoes w/ juice
3 cups water
1 packet Dry Onion Soup Mix
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tsp Italian Seasoning
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp pepper
1 (10.75 oz) can condensed tomato soup, undiluted
1 (6 oz) can Italian tomato paste
Brown the ground beef.
Combine following 10 ingredients in Crock-Pot, add beef & mix.
Cover and cook on high for 4-5 hours.
Add soup and tomato paste, cook 1 more hour.
(The recipe online called for 1 tsp of salt, I looked at the sodium content of my tomatoes, tomato soup & tomato paste and decided not to add it).
