Rrrrrrrrrgggggg.....

I am totally kicking myself for messing with my doppler last night. I got it in the mail and was pumped to try it out. I think I didn't have the receiver plugged in all the way because I couldn't even get my heart beat. After watching 10 YouTube videos I think I got it. At that point I had to leave for work and now am all worried that I didn't hear anything in the 5 min I spent doing it this am... "Hello little person in my uterus? Could you give me a big kick or something showing you are ok in there? "

**** technology...

Ugh that would be very frustrating!!

Try it again tonight or when you have some more time.... I'm sure everything is fine but even my doc said that it can be tricky to find the heartbeat if baby isn't cooperating! She couldn't find the baby's hb by doppler at my last visit so she had me go in to U/S for reassurance.

Baby is probably snuggled in tight & cozy and giggling at your frustrations Cant find me, Mommy!

Yeah I hope so! At the ultrasound on Friday baby was literally jumping around.

Any tips?

Look right above your pubic bone maybe within an inch.

What Sarah said. I did the exact same thing, almost panicked and then found it WAYYY lower than I expected. JUST above my pubic bone at 13w, 2d. Like, not even an inch. I'd been looking all over my belly! That's what the doctor did and it worked okay...betting their doppler is way more sensitive, though.
