So basically my whole pregnancy I've been living in north New Jersey but my sweetie just got offered a new job in Boston. I'm totally cool with moving because all his family is there and he even has a sister who is due with her first baby 5 weeks after me. The bad part is that he can only start in October and HAS to be there by the end of the year. So we're either going to have to move within a month of my due date or with a newborn! What would y'all do? The timing has been left up to me and I can't decide which is the lesser of 2 evils.

Also I mentioned this on the check-in, but baby girl is now officially named Tessa Joan Grady! Wooohoo! My in laws hate it and I don't even care. She has a name!!

Moving sucks in general. Doing it with a newborn sounds purely miserable. We did it with a 1 year old and it was hard enough. Personally, I'd rather do it while SUPER pregnant. At least I could sit and pack a box of dishes and carry light loads to the moving truck. Another plus is at least you'd be with family when the baby arrives and for the Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Ya id move when pregnant as well, I'm sure you know this because his family is there but just be careful of where in Boston areas you move, that's where we moved to nh from, and maybe I'm a baby but some spots are just scary, even if you go around like norwood, that's only a 15 min or so commute from Boston, or if you go to Attleboro area, its cheaper and he could take the train (my best friend husband does that). Places like dorchester, mattapan, brockton, scare the crap out of me lol

Ugh I know y'all are both right I just can't imagine packing and moving and all that now let alone in two months. I'm sure I would be kicking myself retroactively if I wait until we have a newborn. Thanks for the replies

I would move while pregnant you can focus on the organization part with no distractions. You can rest when you need to. Once the baby comes it would be nice that the only thing you have to do is SIT and hold him or her. And just enjoy every second!

Moving does suck but you have time to get organized this will make it more of a smooth transition.

We'll be moving in October too, but I'd rather deal with it before baby. I know from experience, with our first we got the call that we got approved for our first apartment literally 3 hours after I had him. The downside was all his crib and everything were already set up in my on-campus apartment. Even though DH moved everything, unpacking and getting things in order took me forever, I was moving at sloth speed and felt like absolute poo...
