I have been soo scared to do any time of physical activity since I found out I was pregnant. I normally do kickboxing with a punching bag but decided it was probably too intense to continue doing. I want to try jogging, yoga, pilates....SOMETHING but I'm so scared! It's killing me to not be doing some sort of exercising.

Exercising is healthy for you and you should continue doing it while pregnant. They don't recommend heavy lifting or crunches, but I think everything else is a go for quite awhile. I was an avid mountain bike rider when I got pregnant with my first and was told it was fine to continue until my 3rd trimester when balance starts going off.

Exercising is usually encouraged during pregnancy unless you have a condition that could be made worse by exercising (conditions you would be on bed rest for, for example).

I know that most doctors don't recommend increasing the intensity of exercise during pregnancy (going from couch potato to avid runner for example), but especially if you are used to working out, walking, jogging, yoga, etc. would probably all be very beneficial during your pregnancy!

Yeah I think anything low-impact, or excerize that your body is already used to.
I normally jog or do elliptical, and since getting my BFP I've stuck to the elliptical since its a little less impact.

I've continued running and let me tell you my boobs were hurting this morning! They settled down as I got into the run but when I took those first couple of steps OUCH! I think all the above ideas sound great. As I progress in this pregnancy I'll probably take up classes like zumba or spin. I wish the pool here on base offered water arobics because I heard the pool is great place to get a workout and stay fit.

Because of my pregnancy history, I'm terrified to do much of anything right now. As I get more comfortable with it, I'll go back to swimming! I LOVE swimming! I did it throughout my first son's pregnancy (along with other regular exercise), and it really helped with lots of pains. It was nice just to stand in the pool and feel weightless for a while, too! With my second, I had a lot more limitations, so I didn't get to do too much. We DID do a cross-country move, so I did as much as I could for that (all but actually loading the truck, really). We're planning another cross-country move now, so maybe that will have to be my exercise. Swimming sounds way more fun...
