My midwife also said one, 8 oz cup of coffee a day is fine (though, i don't drink it any more). Moderation is key!

With my first I drank coffee every.day. A starbucks latte. I've kicked my starbucks habit to save $, and in turn, find myself drinking much less coffee. With this pregnancy, I'll drink a coffee if I want one, but lately I've been going one to two days without having any. Go me! That is huge, I used to get an awful headache if I didnt have coffee of some sort.
I have been drinking so much water these past few weeks, and that keeps me content

ETA: I just remembered, when I was pregnant I would order my starbucks latte's "half-caf", which was one shot of espresso rather than the usual two.

The general view I've gotten from what I've read is that 300 ml of coffee ( or one to two) cups a day is ok especially if it is at home brewed coffee. I've been trying to do no coffee on the weekends (except a cup of decaf) and today I did hall reg half decaf because I have a full day of work ahead of me and I am sleepy!

I'm a coffee addict too. I cannot skip my coffee in the morning or else I will become a MONSTER. Seriously. I only have 1 cup so it's nothing I'm too concerned about. I'm going to try to wean myself down within the next 2 weeks to just drinking half-caff and then eventually to decaf (which has about 5mg of caffeine in it). I just don't want to get the raging headaches like I did with my last pregnancy.
