We were planning on telling our parents about our pregnancy on Mother's Day, but last night we went to my dad's house for dinner and my grandparents were there. They live 7 hours away and we rarely see them. DH and I both had the thought to break the news while my grandparents were there. DH had to run back to our place to show our car to some potential buyers and I had him pick up Mad Gab from the house.

We had some difficulty gathering everyone to play the game, so we only did one round before it was my turn. I read a couple of normal cards before I broke out our doctored one (sir pry eyes britain pen harper egg nunned). I kept repeating it and they got the "Surprise" and "are pregnant" bits, but got stuck there.

I emphasized the words a little better and my dad yelled out, "Surprise, Brit and Ben are pregnant!" it took everyone a minute to realize and then my dad just said, "Really?!" When I nodded, he yelled and my step-mom just kept saying, "Really?! Really?!?!"

It was great! This was first time my dad has been excited when we announced a pregnancy. He's always happy for us, but this is first time he acted really psyched about it! It couldn't have been happier about how it went!

Funny thing is, my sister and brother asked me if I was pregnant, like 10 minutes before we announced it. I don't know how they knew! I tried to lie, but couldn't help but smile. Oops!

YAY! I'm glad they were so enthusiastic about it. We told my mom and dad the day we found out (they know of the chromosome issue) and wanted them to pray for us for a healthy baby this time around. I couldn't keep it from my mom, I just couldn't.

That's wonderful! I love when people are overjoyed and show it! And the Mad Gab idea was cute! I'm glad that you were still able to do it, even though it was short notice!

We aren't telling anyone until we are comfortable enough that this is a sticky bean, but it will be our kids first , then random siblings, aunts and so on. My parents have both passed so no fun there
