Oh, I do love my MIL! I got very lucky in the MIL department. We text every day, laugh together, and for the most part, she seems to respect MY decisions (even though she question DH, yet he's very responsible). My mom was also a great MIL while she was alive, though DH never had the pleasure of meeting her. Our FILs are both good as FILs, but my dad is a terrible father. DH's dad is good, though.

I think that MIL is unstable, but I love her. That's weird, isn't it? I try to just take her how she is, and for the most part, things are good. It will be interesting to see how much she starts interfering once we see her more, though. Hahahaha

my current mil and I got off to a super rocky start...I think she genuinely hated me at first. but something clicked about a year ago, and we get along great now. the only time she's done anything exasperating recently, it was more exasperating because I've had the same sort of freakout as a mom! lol

wife to Michael, mama to Zoe (13), Selene (9), Garvin (7), Gwen (4), Thomas (2.5), and a bonus surprise, due 30 April 2016

I LOVE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

My MIL was the nicest, sweetest person in the WORLD while my hubby and I were dating. Once the "I Do's" were said...OH MY GOSH! She turned into the most EVIL thing I have ever seen for someone who is supposed to be family!!!

The last time we saw MIL, she drank two bottles of wine and fell over on top of our 5 year old. And it wasn't the first time something like that had happened. So, she got a "banishment" (in her words) of at least 6 months. We won't be around her or let our kids be around her anymore until we see a 6 month AA chip.

It's been a nice, quiet 4 months so far . .

That sucks.

I'm so sorry. I am blassed. I have an amazing MIL and FIL. I actually dont know what I did to deserve them. But I'll take them.

My own mum, after years and years of abuse, I try to not have any contact with her.

Example: My dad and stepdad (her DH) both died recently of cancer. My mum decided that my sister wasnt paying enough attention to her so she phoned up my 12 year old neice and told her that she had stomach cancer.

Then she called my sister andtold her that she was dying of stomach cancer, had been for 2 years but she didn want to worry anyone.

Yea, she got calld out darn quick on that one and she admitted she was lying for attention.

Thats the typical stuff she does on a regualr basis.
