I have my first ob appt tomorrow and I'm very anxious. I really want an ultrasound done but I don't know if they routinely do one so early. Should I ask for one, or my sister said to tell them I don't know my lmp and they will do one to date the baby?

It's possible if you tell them that they may. Is there any place around you that might do one for free like a pregnancy resource center? Definitely let us know how it goes tomorrow.

I am not sure on your area but the places around us don't do them this early unless it is to see how far you are.

Around here you dont have any US til 18-20 weeks and that is the only one.

I need to go for a dating us due to not being sure at all how far along I am.

At this point though in pregnancy, really isn't much to see. at first its a blob, then its an alien, then it finally starts to look like a baby

Unless your quant is over 1500-2000 or you're over 6 weeks pregnant an ultrasound isn't going to show anything.. it's way too early. IMO lying to your doctor to get an ultrasound isn't a great way to start off the dr/patient relationship.
