This is so much better than cafemom or pregnancy weekly. I joined pregnancy weekly back when I was pregnant with my 4th (2006)....the site was busy back then. After that a group of us formed our own private group and we still have a very busy group to this day.....6 years later. When I found out I was pregnant this time I was going to join pregnancy weekly again but they didn't even have the March 2013 birth club up and running. It seems sooo slow there now. So I joined a birth club on cafemom but I didn't really get much of a response from anyone there so I haven't been going there as often. It's so good to actually find an active group that I feel a part of. Thanks so much for making me feel welcome here.
I agree! When I had my oldest 3, I wasn't aware of these communities, probably because they didn't exist since my oldest is almost 16. Last pregnancy, I joined Parents, but they made several changes to the site during that pregnancy, and with each change, we seemed to lose a few. My particular due date month from last time just kind of died once the kids were all born, but I am fairly involved with the month after hers. I joined the April board over there, but there are only like 4-5 of us so I definitely find that I'm spending WAY more time on this site. It's just not much fun when there's no one to have conversations with.

When I got pg with my daughter, I Googled and JM was the first message board I came across. Three years later, I'm still here because it's been great. Some of the others definitely have reputations. Hope you find JM to be as welcoming and supportive as I have!
I am glad that you found JM. I have loved it here. I lurked all through my last pregnancy and finally joined when I was ttc. I am glad that I did! The ladies here are really supportive and kind. I love it here. I am glad that you found your way here too.
I agree!! I belonged to iVillage expecting club with my son back in 2006. We also have a private group that is still very close and gets together often. It saved my sanity to have a group of women that understood what I was going through. Other people to share ideas with. I know I am a better mom because I learned so much from those other women. I never bothered with a group when I was pregnant with my daughter, this time around I decided to see what was out there and I am so happy I found this group!
