I am pregnant with twins.. identicals. While I spent much of my son's infancy baffled at how people with twins survive... I am totally at peace with having two. Will I be tired? Yes. Will it be a lot of work? Yes. But, will it be worth it? HELL YES. And the first person I see in a store who says "better you than me" will be told to *** off. It's one thing to be interested by twins and want to peek at them. Please, for the love of God, don't be rude to twin moms.

Unfortunately it turns out we are no longer having twins. Only one baby has survived and thankfully that single baby looks very healthy.

Sorry for the one who was lost
This happened with my little brother when my mum was pregnant with him (and originally a twin), and he's fine.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I am happy to hear that one baby is thriving, though. HUGS

AmazedByYou, I'm very sorry about the 2nd one, but what a relief that the other one is still fine!

I think it just dawned on my husband last night that it could have even been a possibility because he pulled me aside and says, "So, we're working on ultrasounds right now, and". And before he could finish, I told him there was only 1. He gave a huge sigh of relief. I told him I was surprised he hadn't thought of that before since it was such a big concern the last time, and he said he hadn't really given it much thought. I told him that was the first thing I asked once she found it on the ultrasound.

I haven't had an ultrasound yet but my guess would be one. Twins would scare me but everything would work out. DH keeps joking about twins though the way I've been starving all the time.

FYI: Fraternal twins are hereditary (only impacts mom) and identical twins are random. It can happen to anyone!

I've heard this as well. And then I know there is at least one set of twins on my side so I am kinda of worried. My grandfather, brother, fil and bil all keep teasing me it is going to be twins. I am just hoping it is only one.
