So I was at Wal Mart this morning looking for some maternity jeans which I did not find but in my way out of the store in the as seen on tv aisle. I found something that was called trendy top kinda look like a belly band. This piece of material is suppose to go over your jeans to give you that layered look. Anywho I was wondering I any of y'all have used the trendy top as a belly band? I think it would work but I'm not sure if it will roll up or not. I didn't buy it but I might just go back and give it a go since I'm running out of options as far as pants go.

LOL I was actually thinking about it this morning on my way from taking the kids to the bus stop, since dd made a comment about a "big" baby, the baby is an inch long so this fluffiness is not baby. I did use the belly sleeve with Isaac last year, loved it, I did not wear maternity pants at all, just that and my regular pants and leggings and sun dresses, this time I will be large in the cold so leggings and dresses wont work. I thought about the trendy top b/c maybe it will help pull in some of the weirdness right now, I feel so thick in the middle and it makes me uncomfortable . I don't think the belly sleeve will help now b/c it's a more stretchy than the trendy tops would be, so I think I might look into them.

i would go with the bella band (or another maternity one) because it will be longer and wont "dig in" when you do get huge. The trendy top looks like it is only waist height.

my bella band will for from bra band to "long shirt" length

Have you tried the rubber band trick on your pants? The nurse at my REs office told me about it and it. Is. Awesome. Just loop a rubber and through the button hole then hoop onto the button. You can wrap it around a lot or a little depending on how bloated or tight your pants are. This has saved many work pants for me since I don't want to spend a fortune buying new stuff.

I would get a bella band or other knockoff brand. I wore them when the rubber band trick no longer worked, and when my shirts were too short but I didn't want to wear maternity shirts yet.

I did this with my last pregnancy. It would have never worked with any of my other ones because EVERYTHING was bigger, not just my stomach. It was a HUGE help last time, though. My husband thought it was hilarious. Also, when that got to be a little uncomfortable, someone at work suggested using ribbon, and that worked well for a while, too.

I don't know the difference in quality of brands.....but, I love the bella bands! I am using the rubber bands now. But, when I get a lil bigger in the belly, I love how the bella bands kind of support my belly, while it hides my opened pants!
