How many of y'all are still bfing? How old is your little one? How long do you plan to? Planning to wean before the baby is born? Tandem nurse?

I am still nursing my youngest. She just turned 1 in August. We're down to only morning and bedtime feedings, though. I intend to wean before the baby gets here because I don't have any real interest in tandem nursing. She cut the afternoon feeding that we were also doing out on her own last week when she started refusing the bottled breastmilk at day care. So, I'm kind of following her cues. I expect that she will cut out one of the other feedings in the next month or so. I also know I want to have her weaned several months before the baby because I don't want any jealousy issues over that.

My son BF for 14 months and then self weaned (completely out of nowhere actually) so we've been done for a few months now. I'm kind of glad that I don't have to decide what to do with tandem nursing or any of that but I think I would have probably weaned DS anyway since he would be turning 2 at that point.

Im still bfing my lo, she just turned one on aug 19. I will prob try to wean her a couple months before the baby is due to cut back on jealousy issues. I was bfing ds when I was pregnant with her and weaned him 4 months before and it worked perfectly.

I weaned during the early weeks of pregnancy. Suddenly nursing was becoming really painful. We were over the 2 year mark, which was my goal and it went a lot better than I thought it would.

My daughter is 9 months and I am still nursing. My plan has always been to nurse til she weans and I'm trying to stick to it, but it depends on my milk supply

I'm still nursing my 27 month old. I cut out daytime nursing, but she still nurses before bed, during the night, and in the morning. My older DD nursed until she was almost 3, but when I was pregnant with DD2, it was really uncomfortable. So from the time she was a little over 2, I would only nurse her for 10 seconds (she wanted me to count to 10). So I did kind of tandem nurse, and there were no jealousy issues at all.

I don't have any plans on when DD will be weaned or if she will still be nursing when this baby is born (it would be nice for her to be done since I've been breastfeeding for almost 5 years without a break).

Im still nursing my 22 month old. She nurses in the morning, before and after nap and at bedtime. I'm following her cues but Im not sure how I feel about tandem nursing. I think she will probably wean herself soon since she doesnt nurse for long anyway.

Wow you ladies are awesome! My first two had a really hard time latching so I pumped every 3 hours for 6 months. I am hoping this baby will latch and I can breastfeed for a long time!
