DH and I agree on absolutely nothing! He wants to name the baby after our dog...whether its a girl or a boy...and no I'm not kidding. I chose a midwife, he wanted an OB. I don't want an IV during labor. He wants to put in an 18 or 16 g in my hand for resucitation (we literally at a fight in front of several couples about this during our labor and delivery tour). He wants me to ge a CS and epidural bc he thinks I can't handle labor. I want to try a water birth and see what happens.
He doesn't want to parent until the child is 5 and I've decided to work weekends to make him. We have a lot of fun...can't wait to throw a baby in the mix.
Dh doesn't really have an opinion on most things. He's pretty "you are going though all the pain, you get the say." Sometimes I would like more input. Some things like nursery decorations, I don't ask his opinion because I know it would just stress me out. He gets extremely creative where I want a simple "tan or blue" type answer he gives a "what if we put in a REAL waterfall that falls from the wall and then has glass on the floor where the water flows under and looks like a stream..." Then he gets mad when I say that's not very practical. The main thing we disagree on is our families... he doesn't want anyone to know anything. If he had his way no one would find out until it was obvious and then we would go have the baby and not tell anyone until they figured it out. Our hardest decision is going to be who will watch the kids while we are at hospital.
