They said my HCG was 14 and my progesterone was 10.4. They did another draw which I will get the results on Friday. They are concerned my progesterone may be low and want to make sure my numbers are doubling.

I was only 3 weeks and 4 days when I got the first draw (11 DPO) so I expected it to be low, but not sure if these numbers are something I should be concerned about or not.

My progesterone at 4 weeks was 8.4 and 48 hours later it went down to 7.4. I asked to be put on suppositories to help boost my levels until the first trimester is over. I have a history of m/c and wanted to be proactive this time around.
I was told that some women just have naturally low progesterone. I have heard of people as low as 4 having successful pregnancies.

My progesterone has also been low. My 1st visit it was 17...following wk it dropped to 12, then to 11 the next wk...I had already been taking progesterone suppositories 3x daily...when it dropped to 11, they put me on the oral progesterone 2x daily and at my last appt on Monday, it was up to 23!

So, I agree w/ McKendon, def ask for the suppositories or even the oral (or both!)

as for the beta number, I'm sure you have looked but there is a huge range for normal at this point. The important part is that it doubles. So hopefully your next number should be 28 or higher.

Thanks guys! Friday cannot come sooner!

I will definitely take the progesterone supplements if it doesn't go up!! I almost wish they would have given it to me just in case already.

Is there anything I can do naturally to try to boost it?

Oh yeah, 14 is a normal number for 11DPO. Especially if you only got your positive in the proceeding days. The actual number doesn't matter as much as the doubling number, as others mentioned. With my second son, my first beta was 10. And he will be one on Sunday!

I too would ask to be put on progesterone. It's one of those things that doesn't hurt and can only help. You only take it (typically) for 13 weeks.

I don't think there is really anything you can do to boost progesterone. But you can always call the office and ask them to call in a script. I doubt just two days is going to make a huge difference (I think most docs consider over 10 to be fine anyway). So I would try not to worry too much (nearly impossible, I know!)

Thanks! I called the office and left a message for the doctor to call me back, so hopefully she will and hopefully she can either ease my fears or just call in a script and I don't have to worry anymore about that.
