Anyone else switching from sugar to an artificial sweetener? I researched Splenda and it's been deemed safe for pregnant women. This helps me out a lot since I want iced tea so bad, but I know how much sugar is in it. Now I can get some decaf tea (I'd get regular, but I haven't had coffee in about a week so I think I better stick to decaf), and make some iced tea at home and not feel guilty. Oh! And kool-aid is another option with Splenda. The powder itself has nothing in it, so it's almost like buying cheap crystal light!
Anyone else getting tired of regular water and trying to find new ways to spice things up?
Oh and I know that sugar in moderation isn't hurting anyone, but there's gestational diabetes in my family as well as type II diabetes. plus, I'm overweight so I'm trying to really watch stuff like my sugar intake and carbs, without compromising too much.
