Hey everybody!
I have my first appt/8 week appt. coming up in two weeks and am getting together a list of questions for the doctor....

Do any of you mommies out there that already have babies have any questions they wish they would have asked at their first appt? Or any of you ladies already have your appts and have questions you thought were very informative?

Thanks everybody!

They will go over everything with you! I can't think of any specific questions from my appt with my daughter that I wished I would have asked. I've just joined here today so Congrats on your pregnancy!!

Thank you Quantum_Leap for my fabulous signature!!!

I'll probably ask again about herbal teas. I was previously told commercially packaged teas should be okay, but I'd like a second opinion from my new doctor.

I imagine they'll go over this, but I'll be asking how often the doctor's visits will be and how/when to set up screening for chromosomal disorders. Also, I'll ask if my doctor will be at the delivery, or just whoever's working that day.

If I'm having symptoms I haven't read about, I'll ask about those.

Oh, and I always checked in with my doctor about exercise - how long to keep doing sit-ups, is running still ok, etc. If you have a work out routine, you may want to ask about it, too. (I don't remember when my old doctor said to stop sit-ups, but he was fairly specific. And he said to judge other exercise by my comfort level.)

aramsamsam - I am also an avid exerciser! It's funny because my limitations are just coming naturally. I'm doing everything light/low impact just because I have no energy to bounce around or push weight like I used to! Are you feeling the same?

I'll be asking about exercising and losing weight during pregnancy since I'm overweight and don't want that to negatively affect the baby.

Chessalove, I'm not all that avid. I do like to run once a week, about 5 mi, and that still went ok last weekend, as did the sit-ups. I did a prenatal yoga video today and could feel moments of lightheadedness; I remember last time around that really got in the way of running for a few weeks, but I hope it's minimal this time.
