So, we got to my appt today. DH did take off work. The tech told us that the nurse that saw me at my history appointment incorrectly told me I needed an ultrasound this early. She said that she was really hesitant to do one because at 5 weeks we probably wouldn't see anything and she didn't want me to worry. DH was upset, not disappointed, but ticked he took the day off because of an error. I asked the tech if there was a chance we could see something and if there was then I wanted to do it since DH and I both took off work.
She started and right away said, "wow-we can actually see the gestational and yolk sac- I didn't expect to see that so early" she pointed to the "baby" she said I'm probably closer to more like 5.5 weeks
Anyways- so happy we got it I go back in 2.5 more weeks for a freebie ultrasound to see the heartbeat since it was their mistake.
