I LOVE THANKSGIVING!!!! We always go to my in laws first and I barely eat there because I don't like it as much, lol. I am gluten free also and so is my mom and sister, so we have a gluten free feast and it is so yummy.

Mashed potatoes, homemade stuffing, gravy (my mom makes it from scratch and it is soooooooo good), sweet potato casserole or mashed, squash, rolls (my sister makes sweet potato rolls with honey cinnamon butter), turkey, pickles, olives, everything!!!

The embarressing part of it is HOW easy it is. I take refrigerated turkey breakfast sausage links (we prefer turkey...you can buy bob evans sausage rolls and cut out the next step) and slice the casing open to get the meat out and brown it in a pan. Drain all the drippings. Cut up one sweet and one tart apple into little bit size pieces. Whether you leave the skin on or not is just preference.

Then I do my stuffing as normal which includes butter, celery, pieces of bread and poultry seasoning to taste. A little salt and pepper. Then I add the sausage, apples and a tiny (like less than half a cup of apple juice) over the breading and if it needs a little more moisture I put some chicken stock.

That's it. So make your stuffing how you normally do it (home made not stove top cause it'd be too moist for this) and then just add the sausage and apple. It actually cuts down the calories of the dish because you are taking out a bit of the bread per serving. At least I make myself feel better that way.

If you do not have a homemade stuffing recipe this is basically what I do
