I'm nervous about being big and pregnant in the dead of winter. I'm generally a dress/tights kinda girl for work. It's seriously my teacher uniform. However, when it starts getting really cold out, jeans and boots become my teacher uniform for about two months (it doesn't stay cold long in Arkansas). I'm worried about not fitting into my jeans this winter. How terrible are maternity clothes? Can they be cute? How soon did you have to start wearing them? I know I'll have to get them eventually. Most of my dresses would become wayyyy too short for teaching teenagers if I were to cram a baby bump up under them.

Haha! They CAN be cute...and I stress CAN! You just have to shop at the right places and be picky. A lot of the clothes (even at Old Navy and Gap) are ugly, IMO. Shop around online at A Pea in the Pod, Gap, Ebay even. H&M has maternity also. Personally, I hate maternity jeans because they always are saggy in the butt! HATE that! I'm usually around 20 weeks before I need maternity clothes, and even then, I could get away with tying a rubberband around my regular jeans! Start looking now. LOL.
there are plenty of super cute maternity clothes out there.. just pricey.. Sears and Kohls has a lot of cute stuff that are a little more resonable on their price.. Motherhood is cute.. but prices are higher..
I'm going shopping tonight to pick up a pair or two...two Sundays ago I could easily fit into 2 of my "bigger" jeans (fully buttoning and zipping them), last night I could barely zipper them. oh boi. haha. I had no idea H&M sold maternity, and I never even thought to look at places like Sears and Kohls...thanks for that info I was mostly planning on checking out Motherhood. I saw that they have this belly band thing that is supposed to cover the top part of jeans to hide the fact you can't zip or button them. I actually really want to try that out. I really don't want to give up my regular jeans yet. haha
I've seen tons of cute maternity stuff!! I'm jealous that you all will be wearing such cute things! haha. being as big as I am, my clothes won't really change, I might just have to wear them a little differently. Anyway, I've seen some super cute maternity outfits, including dresses, tops, even maternity jeans now are super cute.

Target has one that is about half the price! I LOVED mine, I had 3 of them last time, and can't wait to use them again!
They can be really cute. Since you are early join zulily. They have amazing deals in cute stuff but they have slow shipping. Also if you have consignment shops in your area check there as well. I got tons of high end adorable clothes there for cheap.
I bought my first few maternity things yesterday and omg soooo much more comfy. My boobs are gigantor already and Im only about 11.5 weeks. All of my shirts are too tight/short now. I went to target and picked up some cute simple long sleeve tee tops and longer sweaters. There is room where my bump will eventually be but it doesn't look awkward b/c it has ruching on the sides.
