I am absolutely dying for some Xmas rollout cookies ya know the ones with the powdered sugar type icing. I am normally the type that makes a ton of xmas goodies to put in gift boxes and then I give those as presents to my parents n brothers etc. And I always make so many that I have a ton set out xmas eve and xmas day...lol we usually also end up with cookies enough to last for a while after haha. But usually I slack a bit and dont start baking til about a week and a half before xmas. That way I dont eat so many! Lol But I wanna start baking now! Anyone else started making their xmas goodies yet?

Update: I mentioned to DH that i was really craving cutout cookies and told him i was too tired to make any tonight. Then went to get DD in bed, dressed n teeth brushed n storys read. Then i had to rock her a bit cuz she is getting her two year molars in. Anyway I finally left DDs room about 45 minutes later and there was DH in the kitchen....making me cutout cookies! Omg so sweet! Made me start crying like an emotional idiot. Haha love him.

I was just thinking about this the other day. I make these really awesome (so I've been told lol) sugar cookies. My mom loves them, and that's a compliment because she grew up with my grandma's cookies, which were awesome. ANYWHO, I was thinking about when I needed to get started making some and it sounded like SO much work. I love the finished product, and my kiddos love helping me decorate, but the rolling out and cutting and cleanup? Ugh!

(I'm hoping I get over this laziness in the next week or so =\)

YES! So excited to make cookies We have a really good Cream Cheese Sugar Cookie recipe that is perfect for Christmas cookie cutters. One of my favorite activities is making those and decorating them with my hubby.

I love making cookies too! We make cut out cookies for every Holiday, I have a collection of cookie cutters. We haven't made them yet though.

We have made a huge batch of Needhams so far.

I'll need to start my chocolate caramel oatmeal squares next week in time for DH's holiday party. That is my specialty and end up baking 3-4 pans of it to give out. My dad makes chocolate covered cherries and chocolate covered peanut butter balls. Sometimes I do my own batch of cherries but we'll see if I feel up to it. It's a long process.
