So my last appointment in NC was my 12 week NT scan. I was supposed to have another this coming week, at 15/16 weeks, but cancelled it since I won't have insurance in NC any longer. So I set up an appointment with a new practice in FL, but won't see anyone until the end of January, I'll be 18 weeks!!

It didn't bother me at first, but the more I think about it, the more it kind of freaks me out. I've never gone that long between appointments, and isn't there a "usual" u/s test done around 18 weeks also? I feel like I should call them and remind them lol, or maybe they will schedule it at my 18w appt? Anyone else go a long time between appointments?

At least I have a doppler at home so I can hopefully find the heartbeat and reassure myself that all is OK. Ugh, it's going to be a long 4 weeks!!!

Yep, my last appt. was at 10 (or 11?) weeks and my next I'll be 17 weeks. She told me she didn't need to see me right away which is kind of nice, but kind of not. I don't have a doppler and I'm not feeling movement yet, but I can tell my uterus is growing, so I have to assume everything is ok. I'm mostly worried about my blood pressure, last time I was in she needed to increase my med b/c it was still elevated. (pre-existing condition, not pregnancy related) So that's why I was surprised she didn't want to see me at the normal 4 week interval.

I know my doctor is doing a blood test that has to be done b/t 15 and 18 wks, I think it is the quad screen. That would be hard to wait though!

Everything will be okay! If you have a weird feeling, go in sooner.

When we used the naval hospital it was always 6 weeks between appointments. There is the quad/AFP test but if you got the nt scan not doing that test is no big deal. If you want it they can order it for you and you can have it done before your appointment.

Same here, my last appointment was at 12 weeks and I won't see the Dr again till I'm 17 1/2 weeks. I have been getting a lil nervous since the appointments are almost 6 weeks apart. Thank goodness my appointment is on January 7th, I feel like I've been waiting forever.
