ok so I just tried to post again asking for advice about something I posted about days ago and it did the same thing where it said a moderator has to approve the post! and my last one has not even popped on the board yet. So frustrating! Does anyone here have experience with a toddler with a developmental delay/disability like autism? You don't need to respond here but maybe message me? thanks guys <3
Let me contact the mod about it. I don't have any advice on the delays though.
thank you, I appreciate it! It would be enough just even getting the one posted that I just wrote titled I need support and advice or something like that because the two posts were so similar just not the same.
She said the most common reasons for mod approval are links or pictures. You can ok her directly if you like her name is Rachel. It will say mod in front of her name and ask about those specific posts.
I nanny for a little boy who has autism. He's 6 now, but was 1 & a half when I started and wasn't diagnosed until after I started watching him. He didn't talk at all when I first started babysitting him, but he's thriving now. He's on the very mild end of the spectrum. He still has some issues, but they got him a lot of help and it's amazing the transformation he made in a short time. (As far as speech and behavior.) He's such a sweet kid. I don't see him as much as I used to because my schedule was really busy with school and my other jobs, but I hope to start watching him and his brother some more before I have the baby. And his mom said after I could just bring it with me.
I just approved two of your posts. I think the reason why your posts are coming to us for approval is that you're posting really long texts without putting paragraph breaks in. That sometimes triggers the system.
I will respond properly to your post when I get chance on Children with Devt Delays and Disorders - my son age 6 has autism spectrum disorder. PM me if you need to talk, I know it's a shock when you first find out and you can also feel completely at a loss as to how to help your child. But I promise it does get better.
