I have never in my life had dandruff and all of a sudden the past week or so my scalp is so itchy, flaky, and dry as heck! I'm sure it's probably less pregnancy and more winter related (even though I never had the problem in past winters...) I guess there's a first time for everything.

Does dandruff shampoo work? Do you have to use the shampoo AND conditioner or can I use just one of them and one of my regular kind?

This is driving me nuts! Having dark hair doesn't help lol

My husband uses it. I can't stand it because it literally makes the whole shower stink, and the stink will go right down the drain and stay there. IDK what it is. I tried several brands. Axe brand dandruff shampoo is SOMEWHAT better. I think the best solution is a tea tree oil shampoo for dandruff--it works without stinking up the shower.

I have to use it in the winter time (like, now) because of the dry air. I use Head and Shoulders Green Apple and it smells great. I use both the shampoo and conditioner, and they seem to get the job done.

That sounds nice! that axe one smells good, but still leaves that funny after smell. But I think I'm very sensitive to things most people are not. Even regular head and shoulders doesn't smell horrible to me but after a few uses it stinks up my drain so bad that stepping in the shower makes me gag (even when I'm not pregnant). I used to have to pour bleach down the drain to lessen the smell, but it took months to get rid of it completely (when my husband switches to tea tree). THEN my dad came to visit and brought H&S and the smell came back like I said, probably just me. But it's some kind of "after smell" that gets to me. Maybe it's the way it interacts with this old house's drains
