I have zero advice as I've tried 2 times since November to potty train DS. Each time he does amazing for several days then after 4 days of it he just refuses and I've read that if they fight it then they aren't ready. I know he can do it though, he can hold it for hours and he will poop in the potty as well as pee. He doesn't like the toddler pottys,, he insists on the big potty with a seat. He will be 3 in march so I'm going to give it another go then and use the ideas here. So thanks for posting this thread!
Well we made some progress! He is starting to like sitting and yesterday he sat down everytime he got gas sorry! lol. And yesterday he started telling me "I did it!" everytime he sat, haha. Is there any recommendations on how to get them to sit there longer? I guess books would work, anything else?
Books, small toys, a puzzle, or songs. We made up a song about going potty that was a spoof on the horrible late 90s song Barbie Girl. DD LOVED it and she was so happy sitting on the potty while we sang it to her and danced a little.
