I looked all over our hospital's website and didn't see a thing. Not even in the L&D sections. Our plan is for my parents to bring Alli to the hospital and Ben will bring her into the room to meet the baby. Seriously I will probably not be very kind if they refuse to let her in. We personally don't vax our children so I'm not going to get her a shot that we think is more harmful than helpful just to get her into the hospital.

I understand the worry, and concern for others bringing in sickness, but it shouldn't be limited by an age but rather by who has the sickness. We're not due til March 5th, so hopefully if they do have this mandate, we'll deliver after it's lifted

My hospital normally lets children in only if they are siblings of the newborn. With how bad the flu is this season, I'm not sure what the rule is right now. It's on my list of questions to ask at my appt on Tuesday.

As of a week ago, ours did not have this restriction... DS will be with his father and I told him that I would let him know when to bring him to visit his little sister.

I would actually be ok with the restriction for the reasons many of you have put out there in this thread. But I also understand those who would prefer it not be in place.

And to the folks who had 'other adults' they don't want visiting, my L&D tour nurse was crystal clear that they don't mind being the bad guys and restricting visitors or kicking folks out. In fact, mine wanted us to use a code word (I think she prefers 'tomato juice') as the sign. You might want to check on that
Team PINK!!! Corinne Elizabeth arrived 3/1/13!
