I'm 11 weeks today and just got the doppler I ordered in the mail this afternoon. Of course I tried it out asap but was only able to hear my own heartbeat...don't think I heard a baby heartbeat. Pretty bummed but trying really hard not to worry. I hope that it'll be different later on this week. Another day when I wish I was thinner for this pregnancy...I don't have a bump and can't tell where baby might be...

I'm not going to my dr til Feb 7th to officially hear the heartbeat...I really hope there is still a baby there to hear!

A lot of doctors tell you not to worry if they cant hear the heartbeat with the doplar. Especially if you are under 12 weeks. The baby is still really low. In most women the baby is still below the pelvic bone until after 12 weeks, which makes earing the heartbeat really difficult. Give it a couple days or maybe a week. And it may take a while to really find where the baby is. Good luck

Aw that's a bummer but try not to worry. I'm pretty thin this time and they have tried to uae a doppler on me twice so far, once at 11 weeks and once yesterday at almost 12 weeks, and had no luck, they had to bring in the u/s both times.

Hope you can find it soon!

Its hard to find at first. The first time i couldnt find it then i tried again for over 30 minutes and found it...now that i use it often its become easier. I'm sure everything is fine. Just keep trying ...you will get the hang of it soon. UTube videos on how to find it and it will teach you lots. Good Luck

I tried 6 times in 2 days trying to find it lol! Finally looked in up on YouTube how to use it, are you looking low enough? I can only find baby on right side right at hair line and maybe a inch of middle right under belly button... Also baby is right under/at an artery pulse, so sometimes it 'hides' with they layer of sound. Keep trying!

It'll take a few days to find/get used to. Just keep trying. Also try watching a few youtube videos and search really low (near the hairline/pubic bone) for baby, because that seems to be a pretty common place for them to hang out. Hope you find baby soon!

Are you checking low enough? Alot of people like to try on their actual belly but for the most part baby is still really low at or slightly above your pelvic bone. When I first got mine at 10weeks I had to be so low to get it that I had to pull my underwear down. Now, I am just slightly above my pelvic some in my lower belly region. Hope you can find it soon!

ditto on looking low! I can always find it at the hairline. Sometimes its on the right, and sometimes left - the little bugger is a mover! I usually can only catch it for a minute or two. Also, someone said something about layering of sound - I find that to be true as well so I always angle my doppler at each spot I try! I usually find the baby when my doppler is an at angle and NOT straight down!

Good luck!
