I got a photobucket account so I can finally share pictures! Here are a few of Maggie's bassinet area in our room.
Here is the blanket I crotcheted for Maggie. The colors aren't completely accurate due to the flash.
I made all of the flowers and attatched them to green ribbon with hair clips. The bassinet is about 55 years old. My dad and his brothers slept in it along with my siblings and I. Unfortunately, I think this is the last baby it will be able to be used for.
One of my mom's friends made this when I was born. It needs to be touched up a bit but it will be nice for hanging her bows and sweaters on while she naps.
Hubby will hang the butterflies over her bassinet with the ribbon. I can't wait to get it all finally done!!
I think it's sweet that you saved the bassinet and décor. My mom saved stuff from her last two so I used it for dd1 and will also for this one and I even reused little shirts she put on me and my older sister as newborns. It's pretty awesome.
Also, I wish I could crochet or knit as well as you. I've been working on a cocoon and blanket for like two weeks, and I've attempted hats ten million time. Let me just say thank goodness I can just run to the store for one!
So sweet!! I too love that you were able to use items that have a history in your family; that's so lovely. I have just a few books that were mine as a child, and that's really it. I wish I had more things for Nate that had a family history attached to them.
Aww I think everything is cute! I can't believe you made all those! I wish I was crafty like that! It is on my to do list to learn though! I love that you have a bassinet that has history. That is really neat. Everything looks great!
