WOWZAS! We here in CT are expecting a MAJOR snow storm starting Friday before 3pm and continuing straight through saturday....possible 10-plus inches! You know what that means? My daughter might not have school tomorrow and my WORK MIGHT BE CANCELLED FOR TOMORROW!!!! Woo Hoo!!! lol (I work in a school)
i'm in western ny and we might be getting the tail end of that storm, yuck! i'm so sick of snow! i'm hoping it bypasses us but ya never know..they said possible 3-7" likely but up to 12 if we get hit worse
We are expected to have a massive storm starting this evening. They said 20cm, which would be the worst snowfall since 2008.....but they're always wrong. we'll see what happens! We should be USED to snow here but the city somehow never gets its act together and doesn't plow and salt quickly enough which makes for horrific road conditions. Hope you get a snow day!
It almost makes me glad to live somewhere it snows regularly, our plow crews are great up here! School almost never gets cancelled. We had a big snowstorm in early Dec., I think we got 12+ inches and school wasn't even cancelled the next day.
We are getting really good with the snow plowing too. We had a blizzard in 93 or 96 that knocked the town out for 3 days - 30 some inches of snow. 2 years ago we had three storms right in a row on average 10 inches each and everything was up and running by mid day. They are getting super good at it. =) It doesn't stop people from freaking out though and on that note I am so happy this storm is bypassing Philly.
Thanks ladies! On the way home from work tonight I stopped at the store to stock up on some items and the grocery store was PACKED with people lol! Now the weathermen are saying that the snow/ice/and wind will be starting around 4am (earlier then they predicted) tomorrow morning so every school and office in the area has already closed! It would be hysterical if the storm just blew out to sea and we didn't end up getting anything LOL!
