Mine get super sensitive too and I feel the same way I have been using the cream and it helps but this weekend I started to use a pump just to give my nips a break! I feel for you..it's the worst feeling! I would try using cream and another suggestion I got from a lactation specialist s to use a heat pack on them..also put your own breast milk on them...that should help I would think. Good luck!
lanolin! it worked like a charm for me when I had this exact problem with DS1. I slathered it on and was still able to breastfeed (it was definitely still uncomfortable but tolerable) and DS1 didnt seem bothered by all the lanolin on my nipple
Ya I have 2 types of gel pads. The LC in the hospital gave me a pair of Ameda ones which I love. They are reusable for 6 days. At home I already had the medela ones. They stick way better but I found the relief from the Ameda ones better. Both were good though and really saved my nipples. I may have even given up if I didn't have them!
I will look for the gel pads! I have been using lasinoh, it does help allot but it just isnt healing, so I have been putting the lasinoh and breastmilk on the crack and I have just been pumping that side every time I feed her on the other, seems to be working ok for now! thanks!
