I loved wearing my son in a ring sling when he was tiny, but I really want to try a wrap with this little one. For all of you new mamas, I highly recommend researching carriers of all types and don't be intimidated. Find someone who can show you how to use them and you will be hooked.

I just bought a Moby and am so excited to try that and want a woven wrap eventually. I have a Patapum, which is modified to be more of a toddler size, so I won't be using that for a few years with this little one.

BTW, where did you get the ticker that shows the cutaway of what your uterus looks like with your little bean in there? I tried to click, but couldn't It is so cool!

that was cute! I have ZERO INTEREST in researching wraps/bouncers/strollers/carseats ughhh.

What was wrong with that black backpacky one that the lady at the grocery store was using? Before the intervention with the sling? That looked alright but I've never used or seen one in person (I mean, besides on other people from afar). The long blanket wrapping one just is begging for me to drop my baby on the ground - that is out for sure.

Baby bjiornes can be hard on baby's hips and also squish bit bits some. My favorite when DS was small was a ring sling. Easy learning curve and you can use the end as a nursing cover. I guess my take is don't count them all out until you try. Having your sweet baby right on your chest and being able to lean down to kiss them anytime while having your hands free is the best.

I have a moby like carrier called a Sleepy Wrap (I think they renamed it the Boba Wrap) and a Beco Butterfly II ready to go!
Excited to use them. They were the only way I got house work done. And nice when you need your hands free to help your other kiddos.

I loved my ring sling. I made it myself. I nursed in it all the time. I was a new woman when I discovered I could nurse him in the ring sling and walk around the house.

I wanted to love my Moby but it was just too hot living in South Florida.

Now I love the Ergo. It's so comfortable. Even at 20 months, Sawyer will have needy, "up! Up!" days. I stick him in the ergo and go about my chores. He loves it.

I am in Vermont and having this little all snuggly in the cozy, soft Moby is something I am so excited to experience. I am going to buy a slightly too big winter jacket so I can wear baby inside my coat with a hat on and we can walk during the winter.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE babywearing!! It practically saved my sanity with Oliver when he had constant ear infections as an infant. The Moby wrap is def my fave followed by the mei tai and ring slings.

Ohhh Vermont. I'm so jealous. All that snuggling weather, a fireplace in everyone's house, cute boots and jackets...
AND SCORE, you have like 4 months a year when you don't have to shave your legs.

Tried to get DH to move to Maine this summer but no luck

I think some of the more backpack like ones I think aren't as comfy for mom either, or so I've heard! My friend speaks highly of the ergo, I think I may try to get one of those. I have a wrap from Sawyer.

Lauren I think nursing while wearing would be amazing....never figured hat one out before. Maybe you can give me some tips when the time comes! I can only imagine the amazing ness of having your hands free to chase a toddler at the same time.

Ok I just put a ring sling and an ergo thing in my amazon baby list - do men ever wear the ring sling or is that a ladies thing?
