New Mommies:
How are you older siblings adjusting to having a new baby in the house?

Pregnant Mommies:
Do they understand that a new baby is coming soon? Are they excited??

Bradley loves having him here. Nathan is starting to notice he is here to stay. He is just 16 months so, my expectations are minimal.

Hayden is clueless. He knows baby is in my belly and calls my belly "belly jax" but he has no clue what is about to happen to him. I think he will probably mostly just go on with his life and we will just have to watch him from handing baby stuff

My kids are adjusting well, I think the only issue they are having is that they constantly want to touch and hold him, and with the schools being over run by sick kids I am not letting them do those things as much as they would like I feel bad about it but I want him to be a bit bigger and stronger first and for cold and flu season to be over.

The boys understand and are excited.. I don't think they quite understand that he won't be able to play with them for a while though, we had a 6 month old over a couple weeks ago and DS1 was wanting her to come play toys with him and trying to show her how to play with them lol.

Maddie was acting out horribly the first few days, but she is doing better now and showing only small signs of jealousy here and there. She helps me change the baby and says "that baby stinks!" We also supplement 1 bottle of formula for DH to feed baby at night so mommy can bathe and put Maddie to bed. She likes this special time with mommy.

DD (20 months) is pointing to him saying "Baby!" constantly lol She is also saying "I got baby!". She really wants to be touching him, so we've had to protect his eyes a few times lol She also likes to help cover him with a blanket, but she insists that his face be covered so we're working on that. We just go home from the hospital yesterday so I'm curious to see how she is over the next few days and she realizes he is here to stay.

Lillian is doing really well but we are trying very hard to make sure one of us is always paying attention to her if needed. DH is usually tending to her while I'm feeding Clara or I'll read books to her. She was iffy the first couple days but she's adjusted well.

Lilly is doing great. Oliver was clingy and acting out more than normal but now that my mom and dh went back to work things seem to be a little more normal with them. I have to watch both of them to make sure they don't shove fingers in her mouth or try to pick her up by the, selves.

Mine are all thrilled and my two-year-old seems to think he carried and birthed the baby for as possessive as he is!

Aidan is getting impatient for Maggie to get here. He is pretty excited about her though always asking questions. I have realized the closer it gets to baby time he is getting a bit whiny but I'm thinking it will pass once she is here. Connor is pretty clueless. I show him pictures of the babies on here and tell him "baby" so he will have some sort of idea what is coming. As it is, bellies are just something to play with. Connor likes to lift his shirt then try to lift mine.

My older two (the girls) adore him. They are always just wanting to be near him, hold him or give him kisses and "pet" his head. My son on the other hand (who used to be the baby of the 3) is still apprehensive. He seems to be rebelling a little and definitely shows some jealousy. I think he's slowly coming around though because the past 2 days he's actually gotten near Xander and even touched his head and called him cute - but he has to back it up with "Tristan cute too". LOL

They all enjoy Matthew very much! I am so happy with the way everything has been going.

my older two are doing great they want to hold her all the time age are very attentive. my youngest son which was the baby its still very jealous and acts out constantly. his doctor actually wants me to make an appointment because of how he has been. that way they can maybe help with the jealousy issues. i keep making time to snuggle with him and play with him and try and include him in things but he just isn't having it. the only thing he less about the baby is throwing diapers away but that is only because he pretends he's making baskets.
