I was Googling intact blinkies and I saw that we used to have an "Intact Care" (or something like that) board here.

Can anyone offer me good resources for intact care or things I need to know? I know I can Google but I'd love to hear from other moms who know about it!

I hear a lot of stories about doctors who are not informed about intact boys so I have already begun looking into backup doctors in case my current doctor isn't but I want to be sure that I am informed also!

the main thing is to just leave it alone. I can try to find some good sources later. Some doctors still believe you have to retract and clean it, but it's not true and can cause problems down the road. So you do have to be on watch at dr appointments. If for any reason baby needs a catheter there is a way to do it without retracting so it would probably be useful to have that information. Generally the foreskin will eventually separate on it's own.

Really only thing you need to know is do not retract it, ever! Let him do it when he can, which can be anywhere from a year old until puberty. Also if he were to ever need a athletes do not let them retract it, they can just open it up, if that makes sense.
