DF have about 5 names on our list and are considering adding a 6th. The only things holding us back is how it sounds with our last name. We aren't sure if we are just overthinking it or not so I need the unbiased opinions of you lovely ladies!
The name is Danica. Baby's last name will be Collins.
Does the 'c' sound run together too bad or are we overanalyzing?
I like it, it is a good name, but I am very picky about the way a full name rolls off the tongue, and I see what you are hesitating about. I would also be hesitating. But that's just because my 2 big things for names are how smoothly it will be spoken aloud by a random person, and how it would look on a resume or as an author's name in print. Everyone has different priorities so you have to figure out what is most important for you and rank it relative to the other names on your list. And honestly the (-ca Co-) awkwardness is slight, it is totally not the kind of thing I would blink an eye at for another person, but for my own kid I would be bothered by it bc of my personal obsessions, kwim??
