Anyone else feeling like their sleep isn't very effective lately? I've never had problems sleeping in my life - my body prefers at least 8 hours, but I sleep deeply, and wake up feeling like I slept. The past few days, even though I feel like I need a ton of sleep, I feel like the sleep I've gotten has been really light. I keep waking up throughout the night, and then in the morning, I feel like I didn't sleep at all. Can I blame it on the hormones?

I try to make sure everything is perfect when I go to sleep--pillows adjusted, blankets just right, etc. Bought a floor fan and have that pointed on me and added a sound machine a couple days ago.
If you have a smartphone, there are apps that are used as sleep trackers. I use Sleep As Android. I've used it for a long time. You just set it near you on the matter and it takes your movements and estimates how much deep sleep you got.

I am always an awful sleeper, but early pregnancy makes it much worse.

I haven't been sleeping well for probably the last 3 weeks. I've always gotten up at night since I was a kid. But this getting up at night 3-5 times just to go potty isn't helping an then between that sometimes I have to get up to check my blood sugars. Then I also have our 20 month old still co-sleeping with me. I can't wait for the 2nd trimester.

My sleeping is out of whack as well. I wake up several times a night because I am uncomfortable, need to use the restroom, or I feel sick. I wake up tired in the mornings but when night rolls around I can't fall asleep!

I've been waking up for a few hours in the middle of the night.
This usually happens to me in my 3rd trimester, so it's super annoying that it's happening this early!

Yes! It's maddening! I wake during the night and sometimes can't sleep for an hour or two. I usually need an alarm in the morning but for the last 4 weeks I wake up for good around 6:00. My body has been hijacked LOL

Yep! I hate it because I am soo tired during the day but can't sleep (I probably could if I got the chance but don't get the chance) and fall asleep almost the instant my head hits the pillow. Then I am up to pee a few hours later, then my alarm goes off at 5:30 and I feel just as tired as when I went to bed.

Thank you Kiliki for my beautiful siggy!

I wake up many times in the night. Either cuz I have to pee, my back hurts, heartburn or I feel like im gonna throw up. OR that lovely waking up at 4am insomnia thing.
