Well Saturday evening DD#2 started throwing up, diarrhea and a fever! Finally was able to hold down a little bit yesterday but she just wont eat anything, she will drink Gatorade and water but that's it. She doesn't want to get out of bed at all. Just feel bad for her and cant do anything for her. Any idea what I can give her to help belly?
Oh...sounds miserable! That kind of sickness is the WORST! Hope she's feeling better soon.
Keeping her hydrated is the most important thing. Small sips of gatorade or water throughout the day, and small bites of whatever she thinks she can keep down, once she's feeling up to it. Getting back to a normal diet as soon as possible is preferrable, though some people recommend the BRAT diet (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast) for a couple of days.
Hope she is feeling better! Def boring foods while she is still trying to keep stuff down. Then maybe some real fruit smoothies to get a little more flavor and nutrients? Lets just hope it runs its course before baby gets here!
Lurking but I have a six 7 year old girl I have been babysitting for this week...shes on day 2 of the flu even went to bed an hour early! I gave her chicken noodle soup and sprite...sprite or 7up seems to help tummy aches im not sure why...but yes hydration is most important and BRAT or plain crackers...
