So last night I was in Labor & Delivery for 4 hours. For the past week my nausea has come back, and I've been back to throwing up again. I had it really bad from weeks 5-13ish and lost 20-25 pounds at that point. But until last week I had been doing much better and putting weight back on. ( Btw- i am 33.5 weeks) Well yesterday I emailed my doctor that the nausea/vomiting had come back and would it be okay to start my Zofran again. She responded with "Please go to Labor & Delivery to be evaluated." I was like "WHAT?!" I didn't feel like I needed to take THAT drastic of a step, but did as I was told like a good little mommy, lol. They hooked me up to a monitor and saw that I was having contractions every 5 to 10 minutes. (But cervix was still closed). Wyatt's sweet little heartbeat would jump like 10 beats per minute with the contractions. So doctor decided I was just dehydrated and hooked me up for 2 bags of IV fluid. After a few hours of fluid, urine tests, and blood tests- the contractions slowed to about every 15 minutes. I was sent home to rest, re-start my Zofran and DRINK DRINK DRINK. I've only had a few contractions today so that's great and I'm trying to really keep up on my fluids.
So this is just a warning to make sure everyone is really keeping up on water or else you will head into early labor! Scary!
