Yesterday morning i sat up to get out of bed, and bam! Gush of fluid! Didn't smell like pee or anything, so i thought it could have possibly been that my water broke. I called L&D they told me to come in to be checked. I got in there they sat me in the waiting room asked when the last time i saw my OB was and if i was dilated at all. I told them thursday, and a little over 4 CM. The nurse told me that was good news and very exciting Finally got into an exam room i was sharing with one other woman.. The nurse couldn't reach the opening to my cervix because it was so posterior, and her little test strip tested negative for amniotic fluid She hooked me up to the monitors, it was neat to be able to lay there and listen to the baby's heart beat for over an hour, and it was fun to poke at him and make him move and be able to hear it on the monitor. I was having a contraction every 1 to 3 minutes. The woman next to me got admitted to have her baby, and i was sooo hopeful that i was next! But eventually my nurse came in and told me it was good i was having contractions that consistantly but they just weren't powerful enough to admit me they built up more throughout the night, 5-7 minutes apart, and a lot of pelvic pressure with each one, but i decided to wait it out and not call. Here i am this afternoon still pregnant... TMI but i have lost A LOT of nasty goobery mucus 3 different times in a 12 hour period.. Is there a light at the end of the tunnel soon? Or am i going to end up having to be induced monday?
Yeah ive been doing a lot of walking, lol humping as often as possible, and been bouncing on my birthing ball when i am just sitting idoly... Little guy only has 36 and a half hours until its forceful removal time :/ but who knows maybe i will end up like my SIL who was scheduled to induce and went in for her appointment to discover she was already in labor! That would be amazing!
