I can't sleep so I thought I would introduce myself! I'm Erin I'm 27 DH is 26 and we live in MN. I was allllll geared up for a long and painful TTC struggle but I ended up plump with fetus the third month of trying!!!! I just took the test today and I basically freaked I was so excited!!! It's our first and I couldn't imagine anything better than how I feel right now (wish I could sleep though). Based on charting, I am 17dpo and 4w6d (omg that looks so weird!!!!)....
.. So any tips or whatever you can throw at me would be great----it's funny, everything I have been reading went out the door when I saw that test turn pink. I lost my head!
So some things I would like to know is:
1) when do I call Doc?
2) what's the best diet right now? Any food tips on morning sickness? (Don't worry I've been on vitamins for the past 6mos )
3) I'm frightened to tell mom and dad (but hey, what can they do? It's not like I'm in highschool!)
4) ....I guess anything else you could think of!
Look into a doctor as soon as possible so you can figure out when they want to see you. Doctors office vary by states, clinics, and insurance I am sure. As for morning sickness. The best things I found are to keep crackers around and peppermints I heard were good for morning sickness. The best diet would just be to eat as healthy as you can and to make sure you eat plenty of food. I drank stuff like coke (and although bad because of caffeine and sugar) it was the ONLY thing that helped my nausea. So as a last resort. What other questions do you have?

Hey! Welcome and congrats! I'm due with number one, too... exciting, isn't it?
I would call your DR now I had the same question for everyone. And I called, and they actually got me in for a confirmation appointment within a few days. Not all practices do that, but I would still call. Also- some insurance companies require a referral from your physician, and some don't... so you'll need to know that.
Diet.. I'm just making sure I get lots of fruits and veggies, lean meats, etc. Lots of water.
