So I'm at the point in my exhaustion (mental and physical ) that I decided it was time to start gradually cutting back hours at work. So starting this week, I'm down to four days a week instead of five. Yay!! I am finally going to start breaking into the video games and books I had set aside for maternity leave. I really want to enjoy this time before Ayla gets here and really relax.

Anyone else to this point yet? I'm not sure when I'm going to cut it down further, or stop working, but this seems like a great choice for now.

Thank you, Jaidynsmum, for the amazing siggy

Not my hours, but I am requesting more workroom duties, I can't be on my feet all day any more, my arthritis can't cope with the extra weight.

Plan on working until doc says no more or my delivery date gets here. I've done this with all three and ended up going on leave about a week early with DS because of high BP and again with DD (I had her a few weeks early). I am exhausted especially working full time and having 2 at home to take care of after work, but its my only option right now. I have to work full time to keep my insurance and I kind of need to keep that right now..LOL

I'll be working up until my delivery day, but luckily I work a desk job. I'm still exhausted at the end of the day though.

I am in the same boat with getting tired and running out of energy for full time work. My last day at my job is April 30th so I don't have a lot of time left. I'm so looking forward to just hanging out and enjoying my time before the baby comes.

that's great that you can cut back! i'm still working 60 hours/week but will tell my boss after this big project (experiments to be completed in early may) that i'm cutting back to 40 hours/week. it'll seem like a break to me! i hope to work right up until delivery.

well since i've got twins and am already the size of a 35+ week singleton pregnancy i am feeling so done. for some reason im nervous to actually ask and set a leave date but i know i need to soon. today i called in sick because my hips, back and belly are hurting so much. i'm pretty sure my last day of work will be May 3rd or 10th unless i have any issues at my next couple appointments.

a plus side to not working today has been lotsa baby kicks all over *squish*

I am lucky enough that I have been able to cut down to 2 or 3 days a week. Although I didn't take any jobs this week so I am doing a bit of spring cleaning at the house.

Thank you Vicki for my AMAZING siggy!

I am a stay at home mama this time around but with all my other pregnancies I worked up until I delivered usually 30-35 hrs/wk. It's great you are cutting back and getting some extra time for yourself before little one arrives!

Good for you mama!!!

This time I am a SAHM, buttt before, lol not so much. With my first 3 I was actually scheduled to work the day I went into labor, lol! My 4th, my SIL was my boss. She put me off at 37 weeks. I was huge, had some awful prodromal labor and couldn't handle my job anymore. I worked with kids that have autism and it was just too darn much.

I'm going to work up until June 28 unless the baby comes first.
I need the money unfortunately and my work is really busy and relying on me.
It has been exhausting. I come home around 7 PM--feed my daughter and put her to bed and I'm normally ready to crash by 9PM.
