Like a few others have said, I don't have any more advice to give. I know this is a very difficult decision to make about the amnio. We didn't have any testing done after the NT scan. I just decided whatever happens happens... so I am not really much help with any of this.
I just wanted to offer you some hugs and let you know I am thinking of you
I read her birth story twice... so beautiful. Nella is a beautiful and lively little girl.. I read through most of the blog.
"Sometimes all you can do is not think. Not wonder. Not obsess. Not imagine.
Just Breathe, and have faith that everything will work out for the best."
Thank you Jaidynsmum for my beautiful siggy
i'm so sorry, one that you got this news, and that 2 your dr's first offer was termination. I recommend kelle hamptons blog, as well as the memory keepers daughter (OMG tear jerker). Glad you are getting support and hope that you can get more answers.
Have Faith, Expect Miracles
SHHHH!! Don't mention Pregnancy on FB please!!
I can't say anything beyond what the other ladies have said; I just wanted to stop by and give you a cyber hug.
It may be too early for you to hear this, but I just wanted you to know that I actually have a special needs child - she has autism. It was bad when she was younger - she had a lot of strange behaviors and was almost completely non-verbal. I put her in therapy, then I loved her and gave all that I had to help her become the best that she could be. She is now high-functioning and does quite well overall. This child has taught me many things, and has touched me in ways I can't even begin to explain - she truly is the light of my life.
Just know that whatever happens, we're here to support you through this - you don't have to deal with it alone.
I'm sorry about the positive result <3 *hugs* My best friend has cerebral palsy, he's 27 and in a wheelchair and we've been friends for 10 years. His parents seem a little tired but they wouldn't change it for the world and he's an awesome person. I also volunteered for the Special Olympics and I believe that special people are just that. They always seem to have bigger hearts! Good luck to you in whatever decisions you make!!
