Today I had my second midwife appt..
I got the lovely physical and pap.. And all seemed good with that..

Listened to babies heart beat, and my uterus is now measuring 20 weeks and I am 14 weeks.. When I was 9 weeks it was measuring 14/15 weeks.. She said it was common for 3rd babies to look bigger due to the muscles giving, but the uterus itself doesn't typically measure much ahead.. Weird..
She said there is the possibility of fibroids but my dating ultrasound said nothing about that.. so they will check again at my 21 week ultrasound..

I feel huge.. Scared of how big I will be at 40 weeks......

Thank you Jaidensmum!

I'm sure it'll even out! I always measure way bigger. Apparently I carry extra fluid or something. Maybe it's the same for you this time.

Is it possible that you could be further along though?

I haven't had mine measured yet but I look so big already I won't be surprised if mine is too. With my last pregnancy (a m/c) mine not only measured ahead it kept growing (!) so when I had the D&C at 13wks (baby's hb was lost at just past 10 weeks) my OB said my uterus had grown to like 16wk size (WTH?) so they ended up having to give me Pitocin too to help shrink it back faster. I didn't ask if that was normal, but she didn't seem overly concerned about it...maybe our bodies are just trying to speed us to the finish line??

I don't have much to add. But seems like some of the ladies here seem to have BTDT and it looks like its not a major concern. Try not to worry.

I think it's normal for second + pregnancies! I haven't been measured but I wouldn't be surprised if I am measuring a bit ahead, too.

I am glad the rest of the appointment went well!

I don't put a lot of stock in those measurements. I think every person and every pregnancy is different. I haven't been measured yet either, but wouldn't be surprised if I measured ahead. Glad you had a good appointment!!
