I am sorry I have not posted much. Not much of a talker but I need to vent and no one here to vent it too. I am so mad atm, THe baby is suppose to be here in a week. His room is not even done at all. My husband has been taking 3 day weekends to finish it and the most he has done is fixed the ceiling and patched some holes. So I finally convinced him last night to at least buy the paint. I figured that would motivate him to finish up and we can finally set up the room. Nope he tells me today his back is too sore and calls everyone he has lined up to help not to come at all. Now he sits playing a video game like he has for the past 3 weekends. So I get to bring baby home to no bedroom and a huge mess he will not even get up to try and clean. and all the baby stuff is piled in a corner in the front room. It just makes me want to cry
I'm so sorry hon...feel free to vent away. I've been there many times. It's frustrating under normal circumstances, and made even worse due to the strong urge to nest. Last time, Grace's room wasn't all the way done when we brought her home. She wasn't going to sleep in there at first anyway, but it would have made me feel better to have it done.
Anyway...just wanted to say I can relate and I'm sorry!
So sorry you are frustrated. Baby won't care if the room is done or not, but I know you do!! I wish there was an easy way to make husbands understand/share that nesting urge. Maybe once your little one is here it will give him a dose of reality and motivate him?? Better late then never?? Vent as much as you need to. We understand!
I had the same issue! I ended up venting to my parents and they came and helped a ton!! It helped motivate my husband to get some stuff done also, but I would not have gotten things done without my parents for sure. I hope you are able to light a fire under your Dh to get things done!!
